Has anyone run this cassette? I haven’t found anything about it on Reddit, just about the microSHIFT advent.
I purchased this a while ago for cheap, wanting to use it on my Deore groupset. Running a Deore M5120, so I think it should work fine…
For those who have installed – is it just a standard two extra links when installing the chain? I’ve seen something about MicroShifts requiring four links when sizing. Not sure if that’s applicable here

Size the chain based on the derailleur manufacturer’s instructions, the brand of the cassette doesn’t change anything. [Page 14](https://si.shimano.com/en/pdfs/dm/MBRD001/DM-MBRD001-07-ENG.pdf), +1 to +3 links with the rear suspension (if you have it) fully compressed.
microSHIFT has been a well established brand for years now. It’s fine. Just install it and go nuts. As for the extra links, it shouldn’t require more links than any other cassette would. But you can also base the sizing off of your existing one and go from there.
