Omniums are 144mm BCD, which makes chainsets much easier to find as it is the track standard. If you want to run a 3/32 transmission, S300 is better.

S300 is a smaller BCD making it harder to find good replacement chainrings if you wanted to swap it and the chainring bolts are secured with green loctite so you’ll have to use a heat gun or something if you wanted to remove them. If you’re okay with the chainring size, which I remember correctly is a 48t (not ideal for skid patches). I’ve also heard the chainring is a bit on the thinner side.
I think for lighter riders riding singlespeeds it can be a pretty decent buy but fixed and/or heavier riders there’s better options out there.

i think the only real down side to the S300 is the 130bcd.. not as many chain ring options… but i run the S300 on 4 of my fixed bikes, never had issue..
some say S300 flex more.. but im about 88kg, broken a whole bunch of rear wheels skidding, never a crank

If you’re upgrading a crankset on a fixed bike do yourself a favor and go 144
