I'm in love with bikes, but even me considering if it's a good decision to get my 4th bike. For now I have the following bikes:

    • Canyon Endurace CF8 + HUNT 4 Season Pro Disc Wheelset road bike. (Have a second wheelset with 35 mm gravel tires on it)
    • Canyon Spectral FW 29 Enduro MTB. (soon to be replaced an E-MTB when DJI Pinion comes to EU)
    • Canyon Roadlite AL 6, my commuter bike.

Now I'm thinking to buy my most expensive bike, Exceed CF SLX CLLCTV

I always wanted to try a really light hardtail, especially with RS Sid. I'd use it for light bike parking (flow trails) and bike touring in the mountains nearby. Probably a cheaper HT would be also fun, but I'm just super curios how does a high end bike like that feels and I'm in love with the color as well. Not mentioning that you need more technique compared to a full suspension which also adds fun factor to the ride.

What I'm not sure if it's actually gonna be significantly different than my road bike on gravel tires, since that is really capable, even lighter than Exceed but going downhill definitely struggles, especially the rear derailleur has no clutch.

What do you think about my plan?

    1. Ok, you love bikes, but do you love biking? Its really difficult for me understand why somebody needs four bikes. Especially with the 4th bike it feels like a lot of overlapping.

Other than that – if you can casually spend 4k on yet another bike… Its your money, why not. You probably are spending more on your bikes (especially since you mentioned you gonna replace one of them with an e bike) than most people on their cars.
