My daily driver that I sometimes take bikepacking. I picked the frameset up from a friend along with the XT M739 brakes and levers, then went a little crazy on the build over time…

Nitto bars, stem and quill adapter; IRD Mjolnir cranks with Stridsland 38t ring; Microshift thumbie paired with Deore M6000 and 11-42 cassette; Cliffhangers laced to WI MI6 Hubs 😬😬 My favorite component is the rock shox suspension post.

The rack is by Cetma out of Eugene, OR and the panniers are by North St. Bags in Portland. Tires are ReneHerse 26×2.3. I previously had the knobby version and loved them but I most often ride this bike on pavement and wanted to try the file tread.

Third pic is from an overnight ride this past weekend in the Deschutes Nat’l Forest. It featured washboarded gravel, soft forest double and singletrack and a long section of ridge line singletrack with legitimate rock gardens (some of which I walked). Set up tubeless and fairly low pressure they were mostly great but got squirrely at times in sand. I’m convinced that the weight in the panniers helped maintain traction 🤙
