This is some next level tennis
Having watched and played tennis since the mid 80's, it's hard to fathom the evolution of tennis watching these two play. The only thing that is relatively similar to the past couple of decades is the serves (in terms of speed/power). The rest of the game (returns, ground strokes) are hit with so much more consistent pace. I almost can't process that what they're doing is even possible.

An incredible final at China Open 2024! The intensity, skill, and determination from both players were unmatched. This match will definitely go down in history as one of the best finals we’ve seen this year. Congratulations to both athletes for putting on such an amazing show!
Seeing them play feels like when watching Federer starting his career, a different way to play, more power, faster with a very high percentage of precision, definitely a big step in the evolution of the sport. Only time will tell about their rivalry and success, but I feel confident to say that, with this two, tennis is in safe hands for the years to come.
