Hi all,
Yesterday I replaced the chain to a new one . It was my first time , but I made sure I followed guides and double and triple checked the size . I did a Z2 ride on zwift and all went fine.
Today it was sprints day, and as soon as I shifted to the big ring this happened . Only on the big ring . I ended up adjusting trainer difficulty and did the sprints on the small ring just fine.
Do I need a new chainring ?
I assume the new chain is showing me what else o need to replace .

yes
That chainring looks like really pointy. Can you post a closeup image?
Worn chainring. Look at the teeth. Replace both, small is worn too
A common cause of skipping after chain replacement, is that the master link wasn’t 100 percent fully seated (takes quite a bit of force). Something to check.
What is your drivetrain setup? I can’t tell from the video. Is there any way you are using the wrong chain? Do you have a sticky link? I also can’t see what the chain wheel teeth look like.
bro that chainring is effed up, look how sharp the teeth are
Thank you all.
Some teeth are really pointy ,yes. Because I got this second hand and it’s my first bike I didn’t know how it should be . And it worked fine with the old chain I guess.
I am taking it to lbs for check and replace what needs replacing.
