Do I need to replace the crown race?

Hi, thanks in advance for helping me. I recently had to remove a rusted and seized lower headset bearing from the steerer. In doing so, I scuffed up the crown race a little. If I am replacing it with a sealed cartridge bearing, how necessary is it to replace the crown race? For reference, 2013 Scott CR1 Elite. Thanks all.
