I’m building up a new bike, but the cassette won’t free wheel when the wheel is tightened. I accidentally ordered a microspline hub while having a hg cassette, and then ordered an off brand freewhil driver, which seems to fit correctly, but the cassette is making a not so healthy noise, and won’t spin when the wheel is fully tightened. The spacer in between the driver and the hub is not missing, and the cassette spins okay-ish when theres a tiny bit of play in the wheel. Also, when the cassette is spinning there seems to be a little bit more (grab?) resistance during a part of the rotation. Should I buy a new hg hub? The drivers all seem to be very expensive and I don’t wan’t to mess it up again

    1. Something is wrong inside the freewheel to me but it’s hard to tell from this, take the freewhell apart and check paws etc and see if there is anything wrong

    2. The freehub body you purchased clearley isnt compatable with that wheel the spacer may be installed but its not the correct size to not compress the freehub into the hub,

freehub preload looks way too high. I had this issue with a set of Hadley Hubs.

    4. A lot of freehubs use a spacer /sleeve between the hub and freehub. If that’s missing this will happen.
