If bike has V Brakes or cantis (and it sure looks like it does) than wheel is toast. Look for another one on FB/Kijiji/wherever. Front wheels are often plentiful unlike rear ones.

    2. Is it out of round? It doesn’t look that bad to me and could probably be trued, but is there any other damage? Also, you’re not fd. You can probably find a replacement of that quality used for $15-20.

Probably needs a rim. I backed over a Mavic G40 many years ago that looked pretty similar. I straightened it an rode it but should have replaced it. I had two spoke really tight and two really loose.

threes a chance you can get it back to true but this seems about the outer limit of fixable. First make sure the rim isn’t dented anywhere as that cant be fixed. Also make sure none of the spokes are broken, if they are replace them. Before you start the truing process I always like to put a bit of lube on all the spoke nipples to help prevent stripping them.
      Best of luck

    5. I’d be combing marketplaces for a new front wheel. If you want to try salvaging it, clean it up with tire off and inspect near the spoke holes for cracks. Check along the edges of the rim for a dented buckle. Either of those are deal breakers.

A little skill with a spoke wrench could get it rideable again, but it’ll never really be straight again.

    6. This is why I learned how to true my wheels and always bring a spoke key with me. Your rims are toast, if I was riding that I would still true it a bit just to get home or to the nearest LBS to get a new one.
