Found this barely-used Peugeot Orient Express on CL about 4 years ago and have been slowly adding parts ever since. Now it’s a $200 bike with $100 pedals. Cruiser, commuter, bike packer, coffee shop and brewery bike, she does it all.

    Added parts:

Cockpit: VO Klunkers w/ Threadleas stem adapter and cheap-o brake levers. ESI grips. PDW bell.

Pedals: TACO by Sim Works and MKS (main pics taken before these were installed)

    Rear Rack: Tumbleweed T Rack

    Tires: Surly Extraterrestrial

Fun thing I found out recently: MOLLE accessory bags mount almost perfectly to Wald baskets!

What’s that concrete path in the last pic? Never seen anything like that ’round these parts.

      Fine bike. Finer pedals!

I picked up a blue Urban Express Pug earlier this year, 1984 I think.. Mine is mostly stock except tires, seat and pedals so far. I did convert the rear axle to quick release
