This little armchair was in poor condition. I had to strip it back to the frame. After taking care of the beautiful oak frame, I reupholstered using traditional method. I used #coir as the filling, which is coconut fibre. This little armchair has a new life and is ready to face another 100 years.

  1. Great restoration. You might want to think about using knee pads when your working on the floor. I did'nt and now my knees are a bit dodgy! Retired now and living in Skegness.

  2. bout 60 plus years building shop made furniture, restoring whatever is brought in , so working on floor, workbench or hung from the rafters will be instinctive soon. you produce good work and are enjoyable to watch from Walburg Texas. oh and very good humor

  3. Hi Leanne! I"m sorry that I had to leave right away after the video and didn't get a chance to comment on it. My cat Missy (the Garfield lookalike) needed to be fed, and I also needed to start the prep for our supper. It's in the oven now, and I have almost an hour to myself. So good to sit down! I really do love what you did with this piece! I didn't even notice how tiny it is. I guess it's because I missed the into and the comments associated with it. I did go back and watch the beginning. Yep, a Hobbit would fit perfectly in this regal chair. It turned out so nicely, but I wouldn't expect anything less from you! You always give it your best. I definitely prefer the attached seat to the cushion. Those things never stay where they're supposed. Being that I have OCD, I'd be rearranging it constantly. LOL!! You really had a good viewing audience today! You have so much support!! You didn't need ME there, but I'm so glad that I was. I don't normally watch Premiers with chat because I get easily distracted from the video or the chat. See what being OLD does to a person??? Anyways, I'm very glad it went well, and as always, wishing you well with your next project. I'll be watching!!! Take care!!! ♥

  4. The chair now has another lifetime of providing beauty and comfort. Well done! 🎉

  5. What a great restoration. Charlie and Sully are two adorable little puppies, I love how happy they looked while playing at the beach. Commenting from Connecticut USA and I'll be waiting for your next videos.😊😅❤😂

  6. I don't know much about furniture restoration but I like woodworking so the upholstery bit is something unknown to me but you did really well on the wooden part. The whole project looks great. Just one question Is it comfortable? I enjoyed the whole thing see you next time.👍

  7. wow great transformation!!!!!!!! it def deserves it!!!! you might already know this…but to help soften leather, try and get neatsfoot oil..it will get dark when you apply it with a rag , but it will also fill in the pores and make it plyable and soft… prevents cracking…and smells amazing!!! put some on a rag rub it in to the rag. for even coverage and no heavy spot , when you apply it to the leather… rub it in good .. let it dry 24 hrs and re apply .. leave for another 24 hr and you should be good to go.. it will NOT WORK ON VINYL. JUST REAL LEATHER.. great job as always and glad the pups are happy and healthy;];];]

  8. I love the bird house! I had a family of mourning doves on my front door all summer! I think I might try my hand at something like yours! So pretty! Great chair…watching from Michigan, USA!😊

  9. Nicely rescued. I am vertically challenged myself, I think my feet might actually touch the floor sitting in this. Well I can only dream. And while I'm at it I'll also dream I can shapeshift. I would become a bird & live in that cozy birdhouse. And tonight the Beachboys reminded me of the Keystone Cops with the speed of the footage and also the background music. This Canadian will be back for more! Cheers 👋

  10. That's a Leprechaun Chair. No Wonder that girl You got it from was Weird. Now that You've so Nicely Restored It, He'll be Coming to get it back. If You can trick Him into Sitting in it, He'll have to grant You Wishes. You are the One who Restored it, so He Owes You anyway. Don't let Him fool You and try to Swindle You out of it. Leprechaun's are always doing this. They're terrible at fixing things. Just ask the Dwarves and Elves! All Fun aside, Very Enjoyable! Love the Boys! Oregon,USA.

  11. Good morning from Bridgewater Virginia USA. I love watching your videos and love to chuckle at Sully and Charlie. BTW, I thought you might be from Ireland because it seemed your accent sounded Irish to me. Where in the U.K. are you from?
