Until 1995 the X2000 was a steel bike with 700c wheels marketed as “hybrid bicycle” by Giant. Later on the X2000 became a aluminium bike. This steel bike is so versatile: over the last 15 years I have used it for touring with panniers, and also had it setup with drop-handlebar with a short stem. Current setup is my daily ride and use to join my kids on school ride and use it for groceries, etc. The front rack is a Specialized Pizza rack, and currently has a Basil plastic crate mounted on it.

    2. these older steel hybrids are such underrated bikes (well, in the general populace anyway)

    3. Those bars are exactly what I’ve been looking for! Can you tell me where they’re from?
