Why the sleek aesthetic of brakeless gotta be so damn tempting to take the brake off.. my bike looks sexy asf brakeless, but I can ride way faster knowing it’s there.. maybe I should get a sexy brake lever? lol

I prefer riding slow so everyone can see my sexy brakeless bike.
Also, going 30mph+ gets kinda boring without the “I’m gonna die” factor. For me, feeling fast might actually be more fun at the end of the day

Life tip. You’ll only care about how good your bike looks without brakes when you’re not riding it.
Check out vintage Dia Compe levers if you want to find something really cool looking. Most are still in production. Tech 77 is a mean looking lever that feels just right in hand.

i can also attest to the fact that i ride about 25% faster with the brake on. the whole idea of fast stopping power at high speeds is a complete lie and in order to achieve maximum braking power at high speeds you have to drill the wheel lock up mechanic separately and train your legs for it – its a lot harder at high speeds.
