I cleaned and re-greasedthe bearings on my son’s Cult Juvenile bmx running again, but now I’ve got it all back together the pawls are slipping. They didn’t beforehand, and I do t believe I’ve lost any little springs for them. All there seems to be is this metal ring that holds them in (and maybe acts as a spring too?) I haven’t been able to find any info about this type of pawl, does anyone out there have any experience with these?
I’m apawled ( why won’t my pawls work?)

Love the title, is it real tacky grease? Maybe it’s magnetism thing
Can we have a look at the ratcheting gear? Also, are you certain there aren’t meant to be little tiny springs that push these open? I’d like to have a look at the hub without the pawls installed.
I have a hub that functions similar I think, the metal ring compreses the pawls in the middle and makes them lift, maybe it’s not seated all the way?
There should be a spring around the groove on the inside. Is it still intact? I can see one end only, maybe it’s broken?
They don’t have their springs?
You should spring for some springs.
There should be a spring that looks like a ring that goes in the middle.
