    1. Great entry level bike! Price isn’t too far off. I’d bet you could talk them down a few hundred.

    2. An Allez would be a great beginner road bike because it’s what’s called an “endurance road” bike, more relaxed geometry than a race bike, more approachable/less race-oriented gearing. a 2×11 gear setup is perfect

      The only thing to keep in mind with a rim brake road bike is you tend to be more limited in tire size. This bike comes with 26mm and even some 28mm can be too wide. For light off-paved use they do make 26mm gravelking SKs, but this isn’t the bike I’d pick for gravel use.

      Make sure it is your size!
