My friend and I will be bikepacking the Kokopelli Trail Fruita to Moab in two weeks. Is it generally safe to park at the regular trailhead for a Thursday through Monday? Reading conflicting reports and nothing recent on this. The Bikepacking.com route start is in town and it would be great to trim a few less-interesting miles from the start. Appreciate any thoughts and advice, thank you! Can't wait for the adventure.

The Koko and Horsethief parking areas have their fair share of break-ins. I would not leave my rig there overnight.
Ask CBB in Fruita if they have a recommendation.
Also, be prepared for LOTS of deep sand sloggjng this time of year.
