High above the Mediterranean islands and far from the bustle of Athens is a Greece you’ve likely never seen. A country covered by towering peaks, forgotten valleys and singletrack trails dissecting endless folds of mountains. An evergreen landscape dotted with alpine passes and remote villages teeming with history and hospitality. This is the Greece of the Hellenic Mountain Race: An unsupported bike ride covering 883 kilometres and nearly 30,000 meters of elevation – enough climbing to scale Everest over three times. Follow along as a brave group of riders load their bikes down with supplies and complete the route entirely under their own steam. With no prize purse and no fans lining the route, the adventurous few who reach the finish seek something more than fame and fortune…

  1. Wow – Incredibly well done. 43:15: Longing for the finish and then heartbroken knowing that it will soon be over. I know that one, and shown here many times better than I could express for myself. Thank you 🙏🙏🙏

  2. C’était cool ce p’tit report ! ✌️
J’ai même reconnu des parties de la route ! Un gros bravo m’sieur et comme disait l’autre : « quand y’a un doute sur le racing, y’a pas de doutes sur le loisir ! » 😜
