  1. Indievelo have virtual shifting and work perfectly for free! There's no need to expend money on hardware or that "zwift bikes". You can change gears just touching one key. So, any wallmart bike will may be use for training in virtual training!

  2. You don’t have to have the Zwift Cog to use virtual shifting, just the Zwift Click. However, the cog makes it easier since you won’t be tempted to switch gears mechanically.

  3. One additional 100 km/h hack for those of us who are too light to gather enough speed down the radio tower: (1) Acquire a TT bike with your drops, but leave it in your garage. (2) Ride in Watopia until you get an aero helmet power-up, but don't deploy it yet. (3) Head up to the radio tower. (4) Once at the top of the radio tower, switch to the TT bike, then start sprinting downhill. (5) When you're at the section with > 13% downhill, you should be at 80+ kph. Now deploy the aero helmet power-up and keep sprinting.
As a 62 kg rider, I tried it twice, and it worked both times!

  4. I know you're sponsored by Wahoo…I would love to see you guys do a cover of SYSTM. Actually, I would really like to see y'all take on the Knight of Sufferlandria challenge unprepared as a group, then do it again after 8 weeks or so of specific training. Might make me feel better about my own quest for that title.

  5. You forgot to mention that it's too expensive. There are free(!) alternatives that I think are even better in some terms. (MyWhoosh, IndieVelo). But if you're a social rider Zwift is unbeatable.

  6. IndieVelo gives you electronic shifting without the need of special hardware like Zwift and its free. I feel that we already pay a monthly subscription for Zwift they should make virtual gearing standard instead of selling us extra hardware.

  7. Created my aio remote to control zwift actions, zwift cameras, and other cycling apps at the same time. One little hack i did was to program it toggle through the camera angles every few secs, neat.

  8. When I jumped into the virtual cycling "world" last January, I tried Zwift and Rouvy. While Zwift has a better social scene, I quickly tired of the synthetic world and silly game functions. In contrast, Rouvy's real-life routes and riding dynamics are amazing. I love exploring different places around the world. There's always something new to discover, which keeps things interesting. While there aren't as many races and events in Rouvy as there are in Zwift, there are still enough to motivate my competitive spirit. If Rouvy didn't exist, I'd likely be happy with Zwift–but I'm glad that there are options.

  9. I am disappointed in you guys! I know this is an ad BUT it cannot be the case that you do the same thing as “GCN auf Deutsch” you didn’t even tried picking different pictures for your thumbnail.

Bla bla it’s free content but I spent my valuable time on that ad.

  10. Tip: In the Comoanion App, you can add Workouts (and maybe Routes) to "My List", which functions like YouTube's Watch Later feature.
Then on Zwift, the workout at the top of "My List" will be displayed in the top left. This way you can jump into the action sooner.
I added the six Zwift Academy Workouts to "My List" and worked through them.

  11. Hack: if you don't hate riding in the rain and wind don't bother with zwift. Tip: all the cash you save by riding your actual bike, upgrade your tyres, wheels, brakes etc. there is something about suffering up hills in the rain that no amount of tech can replicate.

  12. FYI, your doing it wrong for the 100kph. Climb radio tower, go full areo rig and sprint the start of the down and stop peddling. The super tuck will do the rest unless you are really light.

  13. You can also hit 100kph by entering the climb portals when a particularly steep climb is featured. If you want to get more help, before you descend, open your profile and increase your weight.

  14. 6:39 I don’t know why, but the Konami Code/big heads makes me smile every time I see it. Inputting the code reminds me of the early days of Nintendo when I was in middle school. The big heads are just fun.

  15. Teleporting! The phone app has a Teleport button when in the bot pacer rides. Tap it, and a list of all the speed groups appears. Pick an easier or harder one, or even the group you just got dropped from. You jump directly to the new group and have the usual 10 seconds to start pedaling. I use it to warm up with an easy pace, then jump to my usual group, or on to a too-fast-for-me group to see how long I can hang on.

  16. Just adding that the new power Zone colours live is good – BUT DONT confuse it with HR zones from the menu screen. I think they should make the Bar for Hr zone and the power flasher on FTP power icon
