A planned route from Poole Quay, along beside Holes Bay to Upton Country Park and then following the Castleman Trailway (old railway line) all the way to Ringwood in the New Forest and then heading across the New Forest to Lymington on the coast, in all, about 35 miles, so about half of what the two 48 volt/18Ah batteries should manage from fully charged.

    BUT…

Silly error was that I hadn’t twigged that the 48 volt batteries wouldn’t charge off my other trikes battery chargers (for 36 volt) and so plugged batteries in to charge overnight, which is more than enough time to fully charge my other batteries, and all packed the next day and set off for Poole Quay…

It did seem odd when I fired up the C-Goat at Poole Quay that I was one cell short of fully charged showing on the read out…

Anyway, the result was, I was running on only the charge put in the battery cells when produced and so, only got 8 miles out of both the batteries before dead.

I’m releasing this video anyway, as she is still an awesome bit of kit and on the next dry day, I will make the ‘battery til dead’ test video.

You can see some interesting spec on the performance, even though only partly charged on the Relive app: https://www.relive.cc/view/vMq5gzJ1K8O
