At the start of this year I started biking again after fracturing my kneecap playing soccer several years ago. I normally ride a fixie everywhere, but in an effort to push my inevitable knee replacement back a couple years I’ve also been keeping my eyes out for a good deal on a still touring or older mountain bike. At the start of this month I found a guy selling his dads like new stumpjumper. It was all stock, when I got it and needed some maintenance but was otherwise perfect. Today I finally got to start actual lying building it up, the brake hanger I ordered arrive so I was able to swap out the stem/bars. Excited to slap some fat tires and other comfy bits on it. First two are before, second two are after. Definitely still a WIP, but very excited. Already fun af to ride around. Currently rocking some random SR Custom NJS stem till I can find some bullmoose bars.
