I looked into this recently and came to the conclusion it isn't financially worth it. I've been driving a car for 20 years and if you put all the training and licence cost aside it still isn't worth it. The main issue is insurance, for me it cost more to insure a motorcycle than a car and I would only use the bike for a small amount of leisurely use per year. I would have been happy to just have a C.B.T and ride a 125cc but having to redo the C.B.T every 2 years is just a con in my opinion. That still doesn't get rid of the insurance cost issue. From my perspective as a non rider it seems like they have done everything to stop people riding motorcycles. I wish there was a route that made financial sense to ride a bike part time but there just isn't.
Would you recommend A1, A2, or A license for people who just want to bike for fun and travel around for work etc.,?
Hi! Im from philippines. Iv been riding ktm rc390 and z1000 back there. Now im leaving here in UK and planning to buy a 600cc or litre bike. Is it possible to get license for a 600cc bike or d i have to go to 125cc first?
