Reddit is being weird so I can post a picture or text, but not both. I’ve put the body of the post here: I think this is an issue that will require replacement but I’m not sure. I just noticed that my 30mm GP5000 clincher seems to either be splitting through the center of the entire tire or it wasn’t made correctly. I’m accustomed to a little excess material being in the center of the tire which wears off after a few rides. This is not excess material – I can stick my finger in what is basically a slit in the tire. It’s worse in some places than others, but it spans the entire tire. It does not go to the bead and probably doesn’t go deeper than the wear indicator. Â
 I bought them as a pair and the rear tire does not have this issue. 3 months old and under 2,000 miles. Would you ride this tire or wait until you can get a replacement?
