Think I'm about to go get these. Searching online has been a pain and was about to shell out 1200 for two new trek fx1. This came up from a family friend and last minute change of plans. I live in a not so nice area so feared spending a ton and then getting stolen.
Is there any reason I should take them to get check at a bike shop, or if they ride good not needed? I really don't know bikes much.

150 for both and spend 50 in the shop for them to look at them.
The 2nd one. It’s certainly got a disc mount on the front and, though I can’t be very as the photo is a bit fuzzy , maybe the back so it could be upgraded at a later date
