    1. Yes. I worked are a bike shop for a couple years. This is how we hung all our bikes while wait for service. Some would hang for weeks until pick up.

Shouldn’t harm it in the slightest, all mine are hung that way for years on end to no ill effect.

Might want to rotate the wheel slightly so the hook isn’t putting pressure on the spoke but otherwise all good.

Unless the wheel rim is made from carbon, all good.

Regarding carbon wheels I once has advice from an ex-pro rider saying that if you hang the bike completely from a hook by the rim it will stress the wheel. We are talking about a road bike geometry here.

My take from this is that for a regular user nothing will happen but for people that has ridden bikes as a job it can alter the ridding experience since they are very sensitive to even tiny changes.

Think of it this way: even if the wheel was being very slightly deformed during the time it is hanged up this way, it is very likely that over the course of multiple instances, the deformation would even out because you’d have hanged the wheel from all its angles/slots.

You can email Brompton to ask for your case.

On the other hand, if that bothers you, is it not possible for you to fold it and leave it somewhere else?
