    1. I always have mixed feelings about e-bikes. One of the negatives is that in our culture of increasingly less PE or PT, e-bikes can either make that worse or make it better, depending. It's exactly the same thing with the gas powered bikes you hear. Meaning those actual bicycles, with a small gas motor attached. These people do not want to get exercise in, they just want to go. Some of the people on e-bikes are like that and some aren't. But it's also for the e-scooters. Without the e-scooters, maybe those same people would simply be on regular bikes doing good things for themselves health wise. Or maybe they'd just not be riding at all. There are other pros and cons to them.

    2. Ebikes and perhaps more so Etrikes are recommended for range of motion exercises with people who have had a stroke. The lower functioning leg has the foot Velcro strapped to the pedal so the good leg provides range of motion exercises for the lesser functional leg. Add neuroplasticity and this can be a huge difference in a person’s life!

    3. One big factor: people are scared of eBike brands without much customer service that ghost when they call/mail them. At extreme cases, you are left with a bike without a way to service proprietary parts when the company itself shuts down. Opting for reputable bike brands like Trek(Electra) or Canyon costs a lot because they expect higher prices. We need less proprietary parts/batteries and highly repairable eBikes.

    4. The bike industry is becoming the car industry. It started off with 1 or 2 companies, now theres dozens. With worldwide access and shipping a bike can be made in China and bought in North America without leaving your couch. All the while at the same time some car companies are going bankrupt and closing shop
