Hello all,

I'm very (very) new to biking and so is my Java Siluro 3, so you can imagine the horror I felt when my chain broke. Later on, I realized that it was just a loose quick link and all I had to do was swap them out.

With some knowledge I got from YouTube (Especially GCN) I managed to route the chain through the derailleurs and got it running again. Or did I…?

As you can see from the video, the bike makes a very (very) concerning noise when I pedal, it definitely sounds and feels like the chain is rubbing against something because the bike vibrates when it didn't used to.

Please help! Maybe I routed the chain wrongly or there was something I pushed that made it this way, I'm open to suggestions!

    More information if it helps:
    – I degreased and cleaned the bike before I put the chain on.
    – When the chain was on, I degreased it again and then lubed it.
    – The bike is a 10-speed Shimano Tiagra, and I got a quick link specifically for 10-speed.
    – I read up about directional chains, and I don't think this chain is one, but I might be wrong!

Swapped a quick link on chain and now pedaling makes a concerning noise.

    1. Is the quick link seated correctly? Turn the pedals so the link is over the chain wheel and give it a gentle tap with something
