Hi guys, I currently have a 2022 Giant Trance X3. I'm leaving it because when I bought it I was 15 years old and now the size is too small for me and I feel like I need a little more rear and front travel. I practice enduro in my country (Guatemala) and seeing the discounts on Comemncal I wanted to upgrade between two bikes (COMMENCAL CLASH SIGNATURE CHALK $ 4,600) (COMMENCAL META SX V4 SIGNATURE CHAMPAGNE $ 4,500). I am 17 years old, I am 1.70 tall and weigh 54 kg, and I am currently dedicated to enduro racing but later I would like to use the same bike for downhill tracks

    1. The clash is more free ride>park>enduro and the meta is more enduro>freeride>park. The meta is geared towards commencals enduro race team but both are solid bikes and both are big bikes, good for enduro and dh tracks. I prefer the meta. Im the same height and have a medium frame.

    2. For racing purposes the Meta will be the better option as it is designed more racing in mind than the Clash. Also the Meta is a mullet, so the bigger front wheel helps you maintain speed and rolls over obstacles better. There is no denying that both bikes will go fast as at the end of the day it is more about the rider than it is about the bike. It is just that the Meta is the more race oriented bike, which will work for you if you want to race and will also be practicing like a racer.

Just remember to order a couple of spare derailleur hangers for the bike you choose, so you don’t have to worry about them afterwards

I own Meta AM and Clash. Both great and strong bikes but at the same time there is a huge difference between them. I didn’t noticed difference for uphill climbing. I would say clash is more playful due to shorter chainstay and a bit lighter compared to meta.
So it’s easier to catch tight corners or berms on clash.
