Could do the good ol wall fakie. Approach a wall moving rather slow. Lean forwards when your front tire bumps into the wall and then pull/lean back and pedal backwards at the same time. Repeat untell fakie is died

    2. Dial down your fakies first, this was one of my pit falls learning 180s. You can do the “wall-endo” to fakie or find a nice bank roll up to it bunny hop a little and roll your fakies.

    3. I had the same problem, I had 180s down but couldn’t get out of them…the wall to fakie is cool (just watch ur head) a curb/ledge also works …perhaps a driveway with a slight slope to help get some speed backwards… I loved footjams and would do them to learn how to roll back and fakie out,,, as well as nose pivot 180s on flat,,fun and cool to do, I think they use less energy in my opinion than a normal 180 just to get use to going backwards

    4. 180s are on point. Bmx looks small on everyone but anyway..
fakies are a center point of balance type of thing, but also having your ass back a lil further helps.. Definitely helps to look at your stem when trying to balance and hold your fakie til your balance gets better.

Its super easy when you get it.

Practice hella long rollbacks on a big quarterly pipe and learn how to, when you’re ready to roll out of your fakie, pedal back quickly and set your pedals where you want, apply pressure to your pedals, turn your bars and lean the same way you turn your bars (which you don’t do when riding forward) and you’ll snap right around. When you get good at it it’ll take very minimal effort.
