Would you try riding with a 75-tooth chainring? Or is it just too extreme?
Would be good for an e-bike possibly? The electric motor cuts off at 28mph, and it seems I don't have enough chainring teeth to get to to go much faster than that.
Mark would love this😂
I just looked up this Canyon Aero the "easy to live with and work on bike" that cost 11k$ which is more than most ppl's cars…

Canyonero 🎵
This is used by folding bikers due to better gear for speed
So much faff to get only 80 km/h? My personal record is 73.45 using 52/11. Sure, I had crazy RPM to get to that and the hill ended up way too fast.
Everytime I hear "Canyon Arrow" I think of the Simpsons skit "Canyonero" and have to sing it…
38/95 at the front – though that’s using a schlumpf…
That is the definition of pedalling squares! Give it to Feather, he likes climbing out of the saddle.
Theres a video of a guy doing 80mph on one of these setups following a car on the motorway
SRAM makes a 110 tooth. You cant buy it but I've heard if you know people at SRAM you finagle your way into one 🙂 goodluck tho
I think 54 tooth chainring its like the optimal for a road bike, more than that, it starts to turn into track bike, but you dont have climbs, traffic, and so
Velobike sells a 100 tooth chainring, but that might only fit a track bike chain.
imagine it as a fixed gear
Would this be a better application for a recumbent pair with an electric motor to help get up to speed? I've been looking at the possibility of building something that could sustain 35-45mph with a little less effort put into pedaling

That's not a chain ring but a miter saw blade…😅😅😅

I went to Core bike show (that was a few years ago now!) and one stand had a 1913 track bike. That was rocking a 100t chainring. 100 teeth.
Course it had a 32t track sprocket on the back, so it probably wasn't that bad to ride….
I had a 75 on my Brompton which was originally for a recumbent bike. I did race with a 70t in the world Brompton Championships. And on a visit to Royce Engineering Cliff had a 144t chainring.
Camera focus in the workshop gives headaches 🙁
Ever thought of track bicycles. Guys like Jeffrey Hoogland go as fast as 84 kilometers per hour with 62×15 gearing.
