Glad you bought the Springbank 10 (really cool Campbeltown distillery). The 10, 15, and 12 Cask Strength along with the Longrow Peated and Longrow Reds are amazing.

Whoever told you that you can't video in VA was wrong. There are several guys in VA that film in the stores. Also the Charlottesville, Richmond, Fredericksburg triangle has several distilleries that you can visit.
You need to come to Watershed in Columbus Ohio … we did a barrel selection a few weeks ago and they have their own stuff getting some age and it is excellent
I tried a Jeppson's Single Barrel last week….it's MGP and exactly the same as Old Soul. The guy who helped pick that SiB told us they have lots of barrels and will be releasing older ones over the next few years.

“Best in the World” is a dumb thing people vote for on the papers website. All you have to do is give a discount to customers who vote for you in their poll and you will win, which is what booze brothers did. They’re pretty shady doing that and putting the stickers on bottles they can’t sell
I worked at Rocktown. Been open for 13 years going on 14 now. But to answer your speculation, yes they did and still use “small” barrels but they also use 53s too. It’s kind of a blend of both. Just depends on what the barrel supplier has. The barrel sizes have grown throughout the years, from 5 gal to 15 gal and now to 15 and 53s. They also have the Bardstown collection that was contract distilled at BBC that’s only 53s. They have some awesome products and I loved what they make, that’s one reason I went to work there. With that being said, the best thing I ever tasted were a few of the single barrel ryes. Out of this world good and in my top 5 favorite ryes of all time.
