GCN presenter Conor is back in his homeland to take on an epic 72-hour solo bikepacking adventure, exploring the south and west of Ireland from County Waterford to County Kerry. It is a completely unsupported ride: no beds, no restaurants, no help from anyone! The incredible Irish countryside awaits; how far do you think Conor will be able to ride?

Best roads ever on the SW Ireland peninsulas! Great video Connor and hope you enjoyed a well deserved pint in An Daingean after that.
No bus shelters? Where’s Jenny? Props to you Connor. Loved it
You resonate: climb like aged, but live for descents
I do have one..google jumbo pass…ride glacier creek road. Thru jumbo, down to panorama, then to Grey pass, up to glacier and start..it’s a bucket list ride..and only a few have done it
Another brilliant video Connor, well done and keep them coming…
Very beautiful scenery.
Lol what is that head unit dangle-mount business? 😂 Definitely a bodge. Fantastic video though 👌
What rotor size does Connor use?
I would like to travel through Japan for a challenge like this. I would do it in a heartbeat.
awesome last climb, views and ascent, very much like north wales
Wonderful video of a gorgeous country. Your rain travails took me back to my own over 30 years ago when I hacked together a rain fly out of painters tarp and duct tape from a Killarney hardware store after having a similarly soaked night. That hack lasted me through seven European countries that summer, only to blow away literally on my last day, 7 weeks later. And yes it rained that last night.🤣 Thank you for sharing your little adventure, and helping me remember one of my own.
I'd do this on the north west coast of scotland
nice work Conor
i would really love and planning on doing it next week. but in my country if i sleep wherever i want i will get visited by some snake, elephant or even a tiger 😂
There can only be one! Highlander
That. Was. Insane! Well done, Conor! I don't think I could ever accomplish something like that; tip of that cap to you, sir.
anywhere in the Norwegian fjords & mountains or Patagonia. 2 dream rides I hope to make, plus Flanders.
good stuff Connor
Well done Conner but I think your next trip should be a 5 ⭐️ trip so you can really enjoy it 😂
Brilliant video , great to see fab cycling routes in Ireland 🇮🇪. Some epic views in there! The question is though Conor how did you get home?
Great video thanks, what a great challenge, I just took up cycling again not long ago so well worth trying once Ive got a bit more bike fitness.
How about a Solo Bikepacking Ride Challenge for 2 days/Overnight using Brompton folding Bike. 🚲
Fantastic video, well done Connor!
Fanstastic video. Ireland looks amazing and I really enjoyed Connor’s trip. But for the love of god, after this and the bikepacking video, let him do a ‘glamping’ trip next time!
Would have liked to see the final route map at the end, awesome effort!
You could have made it easier on yourself and avoided the Cork and Kerry mountains
If that sheep told you where the top was, that would be classed as "getting help" and therefore the ride would have been null and void!
I can't beleive you came to my home town and I missed it! If you made it to slea head you'd of had free accomodation in front of the islands.
Healy pass, done during the rebel tour on 2016…twice! Amazing! I love Ireland!
i am just starting to get back on a bike again,.. but if i had to choose a location i would like to bike 72hours unsupported.,….id pick croatia,.. down the coastline in the summer,.. cooling off in the mediterranean and just enjoying the gorgeous views
I will do 72 hours in the south of Chile
What a grand adventure. I love content like this. Too bad the weather didn’t cooperate, as I would have loved to see more of the Irish countryside.
Loved this! Hope I can improve my climbs to do this someday
Legend
I love Conor’s approach here.
Plans? No. Just bike.
great video, does anybody know what campsite that is @11:22 ?
Awesome video. Which bike did you use?
Loved this Conor and gcn! Great content! Glad I finally saw this breathtakingly beautiful video of your homeland! Conor's trip to Connor was jaw droppingly beautiful! I laughed at the best view sign fogged in! Great that you didn't let the adversity get you down!
No Bivi but a Bialetti 😅👍🏻 Best priorities. Very cool!
You need a tent Connor.
never realized Conor was Irish
How did that happen…? It happened because you left out the most important but of kit.. a TENT..!!!! But you saved the day by buying a sleeping bag..And achieved great success.. well done..pure grit and determination..l like it..
Ps..l like an extra layer on a long decent..
