The police helicopter helped chase and locate a man who had made off from police on a motorbike

    Police tried to stop two bikes near the M56 – but they failed to stop.

    Officers lost track of one bike – but the other, ridden by Philip Hunter, was tracked to the village of Weaverham

    The police helicopter guided officers on the ground to his location when he abandoned the bike and he was arrested.

    Hunter, 25, of Beswick Road, Northwich, was handed a 26-week prison sentence, suspended for two years.

    Warrington Magistrates Court heard he had previously pleaded guilty to dangerous driving

    He was also banned from driving for 12 months and ordered to undertake an extended retest.

    1. All that work the guy only got 2 weeks in prison….. There are so many motorbike driving around all hours of day and night, making lots of noise, specially on Cheetham hill road clearly up to no good but police arent doing anything.

    2. Its driving offences not criminal unless bike stolen …. if he stopped he would of just been given a court date and be let on his way minus the bike the criminal bit comes when he ran away 😂😂…..numpty
