Correction: the weight stated in the video is wrong, as the German official CFMoto site got it wrong 😂. It is 175kg dry, so similar to the Royal Enfield Himalayan. The brakes are also not directly from Brembo as it turns out but instead from their spanish sub brand J.Juan. Sorry about that, annoys me to no end that I got that wrong.
Ordered mine, just have to wait a little 😂. I loved the part how you explained the CF Moto and KTM relationship. I couldn't stop laughing. Keep up the good work, gonna go watch your 10k test after this. ❤ From Malaysia…
Send a couple to South Africa n I would love to put a test ride together.. got a incredible test of a 10 day gravel route Bring this beauty to South Africa please 👌😎
My only beef with this commentary and "the gap between 300 and 700cc" is that Honda released the CB500X in 2013: this bike was absolutely ignored by international press until Honda, through various iterations, landed on a 19" front wheel to appease the Adventouring folks. Then, the new XL750 Transalp was released and they had to remarket the smaller sister as NX500 which, strangely enough, looks a lot like this CF450. Now it seems that the press embargo and stigma about A2 bikes has been lifted and everyone realized that you don't need 250+kg behemots to enjoy an adventure on your own. Thank god, it was high time.
Can someone tell me if the CFMoto 450MT is comfortable enough for long rides? I'm planning a trip through Europe and wonder if this bike might be the deal for it. I am 6"5 (197cm).
@LukeHilby you mentioned in the video that at 120kmph the motor is almost constantly near the red line. Does that mean riding highways (I live in The Netherlands) is not comfortable? And you alsof said you can fix that by changing the size of the sprocket. Can you please tell me a bit more about that? Which sprocket, which size and what does it exactly solve?
Luke, firstly incredible review..you obviously genuinely like the 450MT! Wanted to ask you after reading your long distance trip review: would you go to the 15T front sprocket for all riding or mixed riding on and off pavement or would you stick with the original gearing?
KTM's real reason for submitting to the Chinese Communist Party controlled CF Moto was to increase profit Many Chinese bikes to suck, call me xenophobic, but BMW's recall of 5000 F800/850 models tells the take But this looks interesting but the dry weight is a lie, reputable testers who have done their homework have proven the claimed weight is underestimated I will test ride one of these, it's be an ideal cheap, ride until it dies commuter – which is what Chinese manufacturing is all about
If im not mistaken, ktms 790s and some spare parts for yamahas top bikes are made by yamaha.also, the quality of this bike is actually top tier!considering it only costs 6k euros.

Impressed
For myself, I can’t help but wonder if the marginally heavier Tuareg 660 isn’t a better tool most of the time
the low and strong tone of your voice makes this video a bit sad style…
😅😅
I love ❤️ your reviews as you admit you love to brake shit! Yes! No bullshit!

175 dry in slovenij 5year waranty
Yeah. Just switch traction control (on 40hp 450cc – stupid) to cruise control and abs front switch button… last is 175kg wet would be a sweet spot 🤫
Great report, nice to watch something so informative and balanced on YouTube for once!
👍. They are an interesting bike. Funny it took a Chinese company to be the first to produce a 400 – 500cc adventure bike.
10/10 video! Seriously! Great videography and information. Subbed!

Isn't fuel economy not as good as competitors?
Are being really honest about the 450MT? sure you weren't paid by CF Moto??
Tiene la 6 muy muy corta
👍👍

Rearview mirror, when using speed, can you see it (does it shake on highway)? foldable mirror
This bike brought me to you, and I think I've fallen in love with it. I hope I can own one someday.
i read in many CF450
reportage that 175 kg fully fueled is FAKE. it is 175 EMPTY and 195 full. (it is not the same)
Can someone confirm me this?
