  1. I’m having a hard time figuring out if this is satire.. have you tried google? Maybe google a bianchi pista and see how much retail is on this bike and learn if it’s a good deal!

Honestly I cant see what the parts are. But honestly, for it to be 1,700, it would need like top of the line parts (new), and from what little i can see, it doesnt seem like it. The frame with stock parts is like 800 new. I dont think the frame is sold alone, but if it where, it be like 350…

  3. Very expensive. Can’t tell what the components are but (someone correct me if I’m wrong) that frame isn’t anything special. I mean it looks nice but it’s a pretty standard aluminum frame?

  4. Nope.

This sub needs to stop with the regular Pista. It’s basic AF. Basic tubing. Basic geo. Basic finishing. It literally does nothing well except name and Celeste paint. In my opinion, it’s mediocre.

Perhaps the past are worth it, but I’d personally put frame value at $1-150 max. So if there are $1500 worth of parts, then yes. Otherwise, it’s absurdly overpriced.

This is a case of “seller added up how much they’ve ever spent on this bike and want all of it back plus labor cost” 1700 would be a great deal for four of these

  6. No. No it isn’t. I paid under $600 for mine new in 2006. They were entry-level bikes sold with crappy components and good-enough wheels. Even if it were modified with nice parts (talking Chris King, White Industries, Thomson, H Plus Son, etc.) it is still not old or desirable enough to justify that kind of price. There were SO many made, as well.

Why are you even thinking about this? if your asking is it worth it, rather you can’t be bothered to price it all out yourself so you want someone else to do the work and tell you no or your brand new to fixed and in the latter case you definitely don’t need a couple grand bike not that it’s worth it but if ya thinking about it you must have the cash to buy it ,you can get something around the 500 mark with awesome parts on that you can learn on see if you like riding fixed swap n change parts about then when something like that comes up again you will know if it’s worth it yourself, enjoy the process

  8. I’m of the opinion that no fixie or single speed should ever be more than 1k. Hell it should be lower. It’s a simple design

All the chrome pistas on eBay are overpriced.
Bought mine for like $280 on CL years back

  10. I bought this same bike for $400 in 2012.

I looked up the actual ad on ebay, and as far as I can tell there’s absolutely nothing special about it. The carbon wheelset isn’t worth anywhere near that much unless it’s name brand and high quality, and there’s no indication of this from the pictures or the ad.

  11. If you got that money right now to spend it on, you’re serious about riding, and not just jawsin’ us; go to Track Lab dude. You’ll get a better build for sure. Then show us your NBD 👍🏼.

Honestly, I would say a good rule of thumb, for life, if you aren’t sure if $1,700 is a good deal for something. Probably you’re safer just walking away.

I feel like that’s true for Bicycles, cars, jackets, kidneys whatever…

nah man, even in pricey markets they go for 350-500 complete. Also if you see a (1) after a name on ebay you should run. Ebay is not your friend for bikes, check offerup or CL.

  14. very over priced , especially for a 61cm… not alot of 6.5/7foot giants frothing for a bianchi.. pretty hard to sell that size… usually the big or small ones are cheap.. 52/54/56cm are the pricey ones

it would be horrible to ride if your were of average height.. i mean look at the size of it!
