Day 2 of our 2000km ride, we didn’t give ourselves an easy finish to the day, but being in the Alps was amazing and the feeling of reaching the top made it all worth it. Tiredness levels showing at the end!

  1. I know Ponte delle Barche! It looks like you spent the night at Certosa…you should have visited the abbey. How I miss Pavia (lovely), how I miss the mosquitoes…(not so lovely)…

  2. I such heat use +50 UV protection cream on your face and skin. Both of you are red ; ) You're are so. different in perception of the reality around you, Amy is like a child : )

  3. Well done Super humans!!
What a fantastic day, as usual another mega vid and ride.
    Stinking Kyle!💩💩
Looking forward to the next one.
    💪💪🏁🏁💐💐❤️🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️

  4. Great effort. The Alps are stunning to cycle through. Something for the future, with all your endurance riding, would be to do a vid on nutrition with an expert specialising in big ride cycling.

  5. Big cities are the worst when it comes to Bikepacking/tours..These days I won't even try it and will plan a route around or train through from one end to the other. If I do stay in a big city I try to plan the ride out on a Sunday morning.

  6. I think that's the same climb I did when I rode to Italy and back. I couldn't find this place called Francia on the cheap road atlas I was using (It was 2005, a few years before I got a GPS) but thought it must be important if it was signposted from so far away. I only twigged that it was Italian for France when I crossed the border…
High carb diet when you're doing the miles is a recipe for trouser trumpets and rumble tums. I used to get really bad. I don't guff anywhere near like I used to and even then only when I eat a little bit more like I used to because of what's available.

  7. well done guys ,it,s amazing wat you guys achieve , and how do you not get a sore butt lolol , also better out than in i always say , also hi from New Zealand bee following you for ages love it

  8. On unsupported or remote rides I used to buy inner tubes with removable valve cores so I could put tyre sealant in them. It adds a few grams to rotating weight but reduces the number of punctures that need attention dramatically.

  9. You're both amazing, and doing great!!. I don't think you will have many gravel tracks where you are so that's a plus. But take it easy on the climbs, and remember the mantra ; "shut up legs". See you on L' Alpe Duez where you will definately need to select a tiny gear, and probably a few stops before you get to the top. Remember to fuel up properly before you set off, gels help too especially at the end of the day when your energy levels are dropping. Keep the love, see you in the next vid.

  10. Had to look up what that Fort was at 13:20 – Fort of Exilles/Forte d'Exilles. It swapped ownership many, many times after battles between the French and the Italians.

  11. Well done! That route profile looks horrific, saving all the climbs for the end 😒 Plus the roads across northern Italy are dreadful. We were there in June and they're worse even than Herefordshire! Can't believe you didn't get a dog tracker though 😁
