Who do you think will win the Vuelta? 🇪🇸🏆 Let us know your heart and head picks! 👇
What are the odds on Roglic looking better than Vingegaard then crashing/contracting an illness/being sucked into a black hole?
So who is going to be the best juicer this year?
I think Roglič will win. However, I don't interpret the addition of Vingegaard as him trying to win, but as Jumbo really trying to get the third Grand Tour win. Roglič has trained and recuperate from the Giro, Jonas has not really from the Tour. I would be very surprised if Vingegaard manage to pull this off.
Besides, the candidates for the GC are really good. Can't wait to watch and savor!
It's going to be clean like this years Tour was lol!
Vingegaard if he's 100%, if not then Roglic followed by Thomas and Remco
Pogacar going to the beach. Why is he not running? The only one who is bailing out. WHY? This is the last grand tour after the break
I like La Vuelta, always intense racing. Out in Barcelona for stages 1&2 so can’t wait. Head says Roglic will win but heart says G.
Jumbo is really throwing the kitchen sink at that one to complete the full grand tour set. Super interesting what happens in the TT. With what happened in the TdF, Remco can‘t be sure.
Perhaps Eurosport could sponsor Carlton Kirby & Rob Hatch to go on vacation to Mykonos together so we could all ENJOY the commentating of anyone else during the Vuelta?
Head mick: Roglic. Heart pick: Kuss!!! LOL.
Kuss could (technically) be the first rider to win all 3 Grand Tours in a single year!
If Jonas is at 95% of his top form, then it will be a clear win. Nobody close to him in GT races. If he can take 2 GT in a season, he will have a realistic chance of becoming one of histories best(GOAT). 1. Mercx 11 GT wins. 2. Bernard H 10 wins and jack Angetil 8 wins. So if Jonas has the strength to take 2 GTs in one season, I predict him to become one of the best in history. My Vuelta prediction. 1. Jonas 2. Roglic. 3. Ayuso. 4. G. 5 . Almeida. No matter what. It will be fantastic. The golden era of road racing. So many talented riders in these years. We are so Lucky. May the best legs win
Damn… thought Dan was wearing a Vambo T-shirt! Such a disappointment!!
Vingeggard, Roglic, Mas.
Dan – "No team has ever won all 3 tours in a calendar year." Jumbo – "Hold my needle." Just kidding, kind of, but not really.
Love you guys! But you do need some pronunciation consultants to help you with Spanish, French, Basque, German, Dutch, Danish… Thanks for the giggles.
So looking forward to this Veulta. Then you hear Carlton Kirby's voice…🤢🤮
Brilliant show guys, but I have to say my (Spanish) ears were hurting so much with most of the pronunciations… it would be lovely to get start/end of stages sorted before you start with stage summaries etc… happy to help
This year's Vuelta is a very hard parcour. If you look at the starting list, packed with elite riders. For this reason, only I am very excited. Team Jumbo-Visma wants to win the 3rd grand tour as well. They have both Roglic and Jonas. (2 elite grand tour riders from the same team) Then you have Ayuso, Almeida… As a Remco fan, he can not have 1 less day, and he can not make any tactical mistake. For example, if Roglic attacks, with Jonas in his wheel or vice versa? Is he going to counterattack? They are going to wear him down. So, without any bad luck, Roglic or Jonas will win this Vuelta.
time
1. Vingegaard 00.00
2.evenepoel 3.00
3. Roglic 3.50
Question for GCN historians and other cycling aficionados — when was the last time that all three defending grand tour champions participated in a grand tour? Here we have Primož (Giro), Jonas (Tour) and Remco (Vuelta). When did something like this happen in the past?
Jonas will win Vuelta 2023 with easy.
I think podium for Eddie Dunbar
Remco is rested and faster than Jonas Vingegaard and crash prone Roglic. Without a big field of sprinters, Remco will get out front and pull away to gap the leaders by the halfway point. JV after TDF is not at full strength, but 2nd is realistic. This will be a great race to watch.
Not sure I missed it but did you not stress the fact that Sepp will be the first to do ALL THREE G.Ts in the same year??
The new "Superman"…. Lopez needs to take a seat.
I think roglic might lead the race early, him being on majestic form and all. But i doubt he'll bring it home, vingegaard or remco could dominate a stage maybe?
V,V,Victory; race,rider,result
Rogla will win woth ezz
Trying to understand the graphic on Connor's tee. Any help? How does this apply to the Vuelta?
Evenepoel (I refuse to refer to him as Remco) if he has his fitness back, because he's hiding in plain sight.
Anyone who followed Rogla in Burgos can tell the man is superbly prepared and rides much more intelligently. I wouldnt be surprised if he and TJV murder the competition. he is hungry and cant wait to teach Remco another lesson after Catalunya.
Is there a way to watch in the USA?
Jonas for the win.
It’s a team sport. Jumbo’s bringing the strongest team. Let’s call Roglic and Vingegaard even. Roglic crashes more. So Vingegaard’s the pick
My heart goes with Roglic. My favourite ever since I watched the Jumbo documentary. My head is maybe with Vingegaard because the Angliru is probably going to be decisive and he is the strongest climber if he's anything like he was at the tour. Will probably beat the KOM by 20 minutes while he's at it. I am hoping this recent doping allegation in the team does not become a talking point but when these guys do crazy rides up mountains tongues do start wagging.
I think it'll be Roglic but Remco Evenepoel may surprise me. 😀
Available in UK?
There should be a querrer es poder shirt in this collection 😂
I would love a video on the general differences between the Vuelta, Tour and Giro parkour. I hear people say things like "This stage looks like a stage from the Giro" and I don't see it. I've only been following cycling for a couple seasons, but they all just seem like a mix of terrain getting gradually harder into the third week to me.
Would love a plot twist where the only reason Vinegaard and Roglic are starting Vuelta is to ride for Sepp Kuss as GC 👑. I think thats the best way to reward him for the support and sacrifices over the years
Great preview show. What I like the most about this Vuelta is the sprints coming late in the race. No more early or midrace sprints. Hopefully there will be no crashes for the favorites.
Won’t be as good without Pog
GC Kuss for the Win! 🙂
I know Alpecin hasn’t release their final roster yet as of the recording but don’t count them out especially if Groves will be on the starting line. Yes, I wish there would have been more sprint stages like in previous editions but if the team plays their cards right, they can not only win a few stages but may get the points.
Despite the numerous mountain top finishes, it can still be done for a sprinter but a very tough one
e mas is there to leadout for roglic in mountains.
