  1. I like how they took the trouble to curve the brace between the seat stay and chain stay. I think those are usually straight in bikes of that type design.

  2. There was a few brands that produced bikes like that for a shortish period around 91 or 92ish . I think Alpinestars, Nishiki or Haro started it. I’ve seen some from Decathlon, Raleigh and early french supermarket MTBs designed like that.

    From a very fuzzy memory, I remember a thread on some pre-reddit forums listing around 20-30 models of “estay” bikes.

    They look insanely cool but are often low quality, with the exception of the pioneers like Alpinestars, haro, alien, kestrel etc(Alpinestars cro-mega DX is a personal dream)
