My husband and I are looking into getting into biking around our neighborhood and on some easy desert trails with our toddler in tow (will probably get the Topeak or shotgun seat, possibly a trailer.) A neighbor has a Diamondback Axis XE and Hook they will see me for $500 total – would you say this is a good deal? Or should I keep looking for used Treks I’ve seen on marketplace in the $150 each range.

For $250 a piece i would say that a really good deal and not too much money to get into biking. If you decide tou guys like it you can always upgrade to better bikes, if not oh well its only $500
