I drive velomobile Quest most of the year. Snow is not easy. It is a bike that last long. Come and see me in Finland.
If that Carbon Coffin had a tight turning radius, it would be a total blast in some epic descents, I'd love to see that thing screaming down a epic alp
My observations are that the cranks are too long. There is a formula for calculating ideal crank length for a recumbent. I've used crank shorteners to get near to the ideal and it makes a big difference. It would be interesting to see an attempt using a P38 Lightning. Though the seating position is more upright it allows you to really push against the seat enabling you to generate more power in your pedalling strokes, a big benefit for climbing. As a contrary person I also don't use clipless pedals but Shimano flat GR 500 pedals. I can definitely put more power through these as I am exerting more pressure over a larger contact area. It would be interesting to do power output tests to confirm this. Very entertaining though. 👍👍🙂🙂
That slowest fastest looking mechanical device I’ve ever seen.
These recumbants and velo s are nothing more than gimmicks allowing contrary idiots to get noticed on the roads. Can anyone imagine how any of them would fare in the Vuelta a Espana .Just watch how the riders climb the 8 km hills at 15 to 20 mph .A Velo would be packing in after a km with the recumbent maybe half a Km on. They re an expensive to buy joke
Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeetttttttttttt
What size frame is it?
makes me want to jump on my Baccetta G20 and tackle the hills of Brooklyn. 'Bent riders don't get to stand on the pedals to climb, unlike the folks on knock off racing bikes. I usually catch up on the downward ride. Cheers.
why u cut of the part where u crash on the lady
OMG, that wobbly steering !
The worst part of this video is that it's just 16min long.
Brilliant vid but…
WHERE'S THE DOWNHILL FOOTAGE???
Lightweight and easy to operate. Very convenient.
Most useless bike ever invented
This guy doesn't seem very athletic. In great shape, sure, but not athletic.
They should make the angle more upwards for new users
make it a proper race get all the gcn presenters on the track racing at the same time.
I love how these older guys are just grinning the whole time at Hank's struggles lol
I crossed the US on a self-contained RANS LWB Stratus in 1992, and all hills were difficult (the Ozarks worst)
It was the stop signs at the bottom that enraged me most.
This why I would need a three wheeler!😮
Well there's one brand never to buy…sounds like a 3 wheeled wagon being dragged down the street.
Easy to use and great if you're just getting into cycing
