Years ago I forgot my 2mms, so I had to use 4mm and have done it ever since, I think Jamie Hughes copied me lol
Used half n half with 2mm and 4mm many times and that covers both
I've done that for a fair few years now, even try squeezing the odd 8mm in there on the bigger feeders. Like mentioned the hardest part is getting the pellets soaked right. I think thats why most people use 2mm and groundbait as its a little more forgiving on the feeder or in a mould.
A sticky soak or a sticky spray of some kind could be a good idea to aid with adhesion.
Really really enjoyed it ,thanks jamie thanks matrix.
I've usually mixed micros and 4m . I've not used them on their own. But l will give them a try now.
Thanks for sharing my secret Jamie, (not), I usually start with micros.then start mixing in 4mm's to the micros as the match goes on,then end up with only using 4mm's, but I do change the hookbait regularly to keep the fish coming as they do quickly wise up to the bait.Great video Jamie, well explained, and a great watch….👍🎣
Well done Jamie for showing us the changes to try out in method feeder fishing, and Thank you Matrix,
Top video jamie
Excellent presentation Jamie. Well done at Barston nice to talk to you and your dad after the match
Don't just assume hookbait stays in feeder either, underwater videos show it often doesn't
'Open Method Feeder'!!!! WHY don't you call it what it is? HYBRID FEEDER
Agreed a 9ft rod on short chucks, (over head) but a 11 or 12ft underarmed with practice is as accurate, plus a bonus if average fish size are on the larger side.👍
Great info Jaime
Is there not a market for a hook legnth with a hair of imitation micros for use on a method?
I use the 4mm pellets in a cage feeder, when bomb and pellet goes quiet.Usually gets me few extra fish.👍🎣
Great video Jamie. 😉👍
