Getting the right tyre pressure is quite a tedious task, but an important one if you want to enjoy your rides! However, many of us take it for granted thinking that it doesn’t do much help.
Ollie, on the other hand, is here to tell you that you should think about tyre pressure more carefully with some science to back it up!

Big, big difference between the rough roads that most of us encounter from time to time versus the cobbles of Paris Roubaix.
On chip and seal nightmare road interesting results, but what happens when bends and swooping descents are part of the ride?
What will make me slower … in life .. is taking out 20+ minutes to listen to chatter about tyre pressure … how about condensing into a short ? Love the content and you guys …but sometimes life is too short and moving too fast to dedicate so much to certain topics
LOL. Your voice vibrating at 4-bar on the bcobbles. Meanwhile even my SC hardtail MTB would have hardly any vibration at all (running a common 1.5 bar)
Hmmm… would a device that raises and lowers tyre pressure while riding be illegal? Of course assuming the device and pressure canister could be made light enough where added weight loss is less than gain from pressure surface matching…
The more air pressure the less resistance. I need a computer to tell me that? F off
OK, so according to the Silca calculator, it recommends I should be riding at about 2.5 bar, when I've been riding at 4 bar. I'm going out for a fitness ride tonight, so I'll drop my pressure and see how it feels.
Thanks for making this video showing other people what I have known since I was 8 years old. Even at the ripe old age of 8, I was racing my bike against other kids in my neighborhood, and learned that keeping my tires pumped up made my bike roll faster. What exactly is the right pressure for your tires? I usually start at above the recommended pressure on the sidewall of my tire, and I ride the bike every day. As the days pass, the pressure decreases, until the tire becomes soft. You can run the pressure again, and as they days pass, you can figure out what is the optimum pressure for your tire, your weight, and your roads. On that day or days where you get the best performance, check your pressure, and pump up your tires to that level before every ride.
How much difference does the wankers hat make.

All that money and couldn't get a front wheel set to actually test the FULL system?
1 Hz per second?! That's exactly what a Hz is! 😅
Power meter from wiggle??? What's wiggle?

really interesting, back in the day if you had a puncture and you couldn't pump the tyre as hard as you could with a track pump I was always suprised how comfortable it felt riding, so the science backs up hearsay. I have old rim brake type bikes with a minimum clearance and 25 mm tyres are the largest I can fit but I have gradually decreased the pressure to 72 psi rear 70psi front and I weigh 76 kilos. I may try dropping the pressure a bit lower after seeing this video. so far I have seen no increase in punctures

you look like Sun WuKong of Black Mythology
What about tubeless tire pressures?
So on the cobble simulation, was the front axle kept in place on that stringed rig?
Because riding cobbles with both wheels being bounced independently of each other, wouldn’t it actually cost you more watts to control the front and push the rear…
Hi – I would like to see a real road test with both front and back tires… you could even see if different pressures between the front and rear impact turning and comfort… interesting!!! Thanks…

I thought he said "Sainz works…" not if you're trying to win F1.
