I want to buy this "Rockrider AM100 Hardtail" from Decathlon. It costs €1000 and I feel like it has really great parts for the money. The only weird part about it is the asymmetrical chainstays. On the chain side, it bends downwards, so the chain slap is eliminated.

Do you think it is a good bike?
Or is there a better option from other brands that is around €1000?

  1. Not bad, but you can definitely find better for that price if you search and be patient. Back in 2022, when bikes were really hard to find, and everything was overpriced, I bought a Nukeproof Scout 290 with “better components” for about the same price.

There are plenty of bikes on sale because of the bike industry’s post-covid crisis.

Just stay away from fruits and colours brands.

    [Scale 965](https://www.scott-sports.com/pt/pt/product/scott-scale-965-blue-eu-bike?article=290184006) 999€, but it’s XC

I’m not saying the scale is better. Just to add to the specs comparison since i noticed recently scott made an agressive drop in prices for the scale. In fact the scale has headset cable routing which is an extra annoyance for maintenance to say the least. And no holes for downtube cable routing. And no dropper.

Edit: Tbh if it was me, i’d probably put in more 159€ and go for a roscoe 7
