David Raya produced one of the best saves Ben has seen in years as he stopped a certain goal for Ollie Watkins in Arsenal’s 2-0 win over Aston Villa at Villa Park.

legit screamed when i saw this save live, a lot of people were saying "oh it's something they practice in training getting up" but as a goalies we know that even if you make this save in training, big if, you're gonna remember it for years, let alone in a premier league game
Glad we all are finally admitting Mikel Arteta was right to choose Raya over Ramsdale. He’s just so much better in the air at claiming crosses, not to mention his passing.
I wish we saw your analysis of the Partey goal on Emi Martinez. I love Emi, and maybe I don't watch enough Villa to say this, but it really surprised me to see that effort beat Emi.

Love this show! But it's crazy how you've chosen that Sanchez one as a mistake as opposed to the Emi Martinez howler against Arsenal (Partey goal).
Really was the save that good? As a villa fan I believe it's all down to poor effort from Watkins he had the whole goal to aim and and put it straight at raya, yes it's class how he got up after falling down but still if he doesn't save that everyone would be moaning at how he should've got a hand on it

Wait so ipswitch had to play Liverpool and City in thier first 2 games in the prem…..that needs to change. Talk about throwing a new team to the wolves. They would be better off playing the actual Wolves.
Too many Prem managers are forcing their keepers to play out from the back too much, not all starting 20 GK's are capable of doing it & it's costing some teams
Rayas save is already the save of the season it was incredible being a keeper as a kid I couldn’t believe he was able to get up that quick to make the save

Really, though, Saliba and Timber fell asleep while Watkins and Bailey attacked the ball that bounced off the crossbar back into play.
Raya made a great save, but he shouldn't have had to make that save because his defenders should have stayed alert and kept up with their marks and taken care of that ball before Watkins got a free header.

Hmm, the first thing. The press from man city is actually pretty bad.
1. Because Ipswich have one free player to the left of the GK, and ”savinho” isnt covering that part at all.
2. He could pass a short pass to his other CB (more risky) but its OK for him just continue the pass the right.
3. He could chip pass the ball to gk right.
The press on GK is pretty good. But that itself shoudlnt be enough.
In this case its just a bad extra touch and this GK isnt good enough with his feet, and he takes to long with the ball often.
I mean, arsenal, Chelsea, even man utd (because they have a GK with great feet),
Would have loved this press.
I actually think 15 teams wouldve had a great counter attack.

On the Emi Martinez save, thats one of those saves that you immediately know is incredible because you thought it was a goal at first. I jumped up and celebrated thinking it had gone in, and only realised it hadn't because none of the players were celebrating😂 As an Arsenal fan, even given our recent history with Villa, I fucking love Emi Martinez.
