Hey everyone! Hope everything is going well.
So yesterday me and my brother were riding as usual, long story short my brother had a puncture on the rear wheel a couple weeks ago, it was near the tire bead so the sealant didn’t work it’s magic this time. We installed a tube and everything held good. Yesterday we were riding and he had another puncture so today he got a dh soft Kryptotal but we found out that the rim is dented with no damage on the inside but it doesn’t hold a tubeless setup anymore.
My question is, will this rim hold up (at least for the rest of the season) with a dh casing tire and a tube installed? It’s the set up we’ve got installed today.
He wants to finish this season with this rim and get a custom built rear wheel for next season.
Bike is a 2023 Marin Alpine Trail 7.
Thanks in advance!
