I think Nebraska is sometimes an overlooked place for bicycle touring. I’ve found great, low-traffic roads (paved as well as dirt/gravel), friendly small towns, and nice scenery.
These photos are from a an almost completely “random” tour I did in 2022. I rode out of my driveway in Kentucky with no destination or duration in mind, and never planned anything. I ended up riding for 24 days through Kentucky, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, and Iowa.
