This is one of the greatest skits ever written for the Daily Show. The quality has definitely improved so much after Trevor‘s exit, then skyrocketed once more with Jon‘s return. I will say that Grace sticks out like a sore thumb amongst this incredibly talented cast, though. Unfunnier than Charlagmane da Gawd, and just nowhere near the same level as the others. Troy on the other hand is really giving the veterans a run for their money

Great skit, and I know it's Comedy not History, but just so that we dumb Americans don't keep perpetuating our dumbness: the "fat Buddha" is a just a monk named Qici (契此), who later became venerated as a bodhisattva (like a saint). I can only guess that Americans keep mixing him up with the religious figure, Gautama Buddha, because Qici had various nicknames like "Bùdài" or "Bố Đại", which is kind of like confusing Joshua with Jesus. Only at least they lived at the same time and knew each other and kind of looked similar, rather than being 1000 years apart and looking totally opposite.
