How I wish that I could produce a video that faithfully represented the incredible 3 days that I spent biking in Jamnica.

Single trail park Jamnica is made up of a genuine labyrinth of hand built trails in a place of incredible beauty. I can’t tell how many times I’ve climbed and descended that mountain, taking on a different and harder trail each time, and being surprised by the natural beauty around me with each pedal stroke.

The natural trails are incredibly hard, and at times genuinely frightening. I must have pushed the bike for longer than I have ridden it on some of the hardest black rated trails. I have no doubt that if I come back later with 10 years of experience on my back I will still find many of them to be quite challenging.

I’m more than a bit sour that my footage again got partly ruined. One whole day of footage went to waste because I switched the lens on the gopro without remembering to change the settings. On many of my other rides, the camera somehow ended up facing too low – I think the screw on my chest mount is getting worn out, and the camera slowly falls/rotates downwards as I ride. The result is a whole lot of footage of the bike and the ground underneath it, but not as much of what lies ahead or around me. I’ll have to fix this. To top it all, the gopro app is absolute garbage at handling large files and thus I have to resort to auto-edits which simply suck at choosing highlights, and I’m also stuck with lower quality image because the app crashes on higher settings.

Speaking of crashes – I had a super nasty crash at one point while riding with a group. I don’t really understand how, but a large branch somehow made its way into the inside of my front wheel and, well… it hurt.
