Yup mens tour should definitely end on it way more. Incredible climb.
Seems strange that the women never got to ride Alpe dHuez. Back in 86 when LeMond let Hinault win on the Alpe, the women got a rest day – the day after they had their souls crushed on the much harder climb of the Col du Granon with the finish in Serre Chevalier. A few days later they were climbing the Puy de Dome.
