Hi all,

I’m reaching out to the community with a puzzling problem I’m facing on my Canyon road bike. I’ve got a SRAM Rival eTAP AXS derailleur that’s acting strangly. Shifting to higher gears is smooth, but shifting down to lower gears is a struggle. The motor seems to try, but the shift just doesn’t complete. Oddly, if I give the derailleur a little nudge or loosen the chain, it shifts fine. The issue popped up suddenly during a ride. In the video you see me first shifting up and then down again. While the first down shift works the subsequent ones fail.

I’ve eliminated other potential causes and it seems to me that the derailleur itself is not working properly. While I’ve contacted Canyon for warranty support, their response time might keep me off the road for a while 😒. I also contacted Sram but they just came up with the standard chain gap/limit screws/microadjustment/chain hints which I already had checked.

With the biking season winding down, I’m really hoping someone out there has encountered a similar issue or has ideas on how to troubleshoot and fix this. Your advice would be greatly appreciated , especially while I’m waiting for the warranty process to unfold. I don’t have much hope but maybe there is something I could do myself.

    Thank you in advance!
