Are Blackpool Pleasure Beach planning to build a new record breaking ride? In a recent article it was stated that a new ride will be replacing the Grand Prix ride, and promises to take guest experience to unprecedented heights. So does this mean we’re going to see the Pleasure Beach taking back the UK height record?

    1. Nice update, nice speculation, think a new height coaster is possible, think this is what Blackpool Pleasure Beach are aiming for, aiming to retake the tallest coaster in the UK back. Not sure about Europe aswell, but be epic if done that aswell. I think it will be one of those types, but I also think it will be an RMC Steel Coaster? This is what I would love to see with theming on it? Whether its compacted or custom layout, would also like to see a GCI Wooden Coaster built in park aswell again with theming surrounding it. Think ride you stated about with its own pier and outside park. That would be epic and amazing new addition for locals, UK & park, but cannot see that happening honestly. I don't think they will go for another Mack as they have one already, so yeah probs go for Intamin maybe? RMC? Maybe a GCI or maybe not a coaster, but a new flat ride or dark ride? Could surprise us all and build a indoor and outdoor coaster? But who knows? But do think they want to take the height record back 100%, think whatever it will be, it could be tall & maybe faster than Hyperia? But nice vlog, enjoyed and look forward to the future of this park. Cheers. 😀👍

    2. Could be like Stealth, let's say 240ft high. Would take back the highest and fastest ride again. Would be amazing wouldn't it guys. Guess we will have to wait and see.!!

    3. The “bigger one” would be amazing but any large coaster would need designing, then planning permission then building, so it may take some time.

    4. I’d like to see a big giroswing like Loki at Liseberg. I think pleasure beach have enough rollercoasters . Although it would be nice to see infusion replaced maybe .

    5. my guess is that they'll move SkyForce to be where Ice Blast is, and then in this new space they'll build a new taller drop tower, and update the plaza around it to be more spacious

    6. I just think people are reading too much into the headline, surely if they’re removing what’s basically a kids ride, it can only be replaced by another kids ride, maybe a small coaster at most, but I can’t see it been anything major

    7. A good idea would be an s&s air launch coaster that takes the uk height record and also worlds fastest accelerating launch since do dodonpa has now closed.

    8. i think in the grand prix spot they will put a vekoma family boomerang and a few years later they add a vekoma super boomerang/sky rocket two near wild mouse and trauma towers was imo

    9. Agree with your researchee choices.
My thoughts 2027 is along time for BPB (resort!!) to limp along with its current line up whilst several other UK major parks are really pulling the stops out.
So could the next ride actually be uk's tallest "flat ride" (weird expression) which could be up & & running in 2025 ?

    10. When the grandprix was open it always was popular, as much as it be exciting to have another rollercoaster I hope they replace it with a 'modern' version of it. Maybe a more quicker version of it like the Cars ride in florida, But great video 😊

    11. I said when Thorpe announced Hyperia, they’ve left themselves at a huge risk of not having the “UK’s tallest” for too long. It’s only 31ft taller than Stealth for a start, and I could definitely see BPP getting planning permission for something around the 250ft mark, it’s just whether they can afford it

    12. I wonder if the bigger plan involves Merlin Ents. at some point, been rumbling for a few years especially last season with so many contractors on site doing off season works. Either way intriguing to see how it pans out.

    13. I feel like BPB is our last chance at getting an RMC in the UK. I don't think it's likely, but if it were up to me… that'd be it. A Vekoma sit down or vertical launch coaster would be my second choice. We need something that's a great ride with a decent length in this country (where Hyperia falls short for me is that it's over in a sneeze) RMC/Vekoma definitely get my vote.
